Humboldt City School Cafeterias Received Grant Funds for Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

On July 20, 2022 East Elementary School Cafeteria and Stigall Primary School Cafeteria were awarded money from the State of Tennessee/USDA for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program.  East received $23,550.00 and Stigall received $15,800.00 to go towards purchasing, preparing and distributing of fresh fruits and vegetables at no charge to the students in the schools.  This is such a positive program for our students here in Humboldt.  It not only gives them an extra snack during the week, but also gives them an opportunity to try various fresh fruits and vegetables that they may not normally try at home.
